Shocks vs. Struts - What is the difference?

Shocks and struts serve the same basic purpose - to lessen the amount of bounce in your tire and therefore stabilize your vehicle. Because struts are more important to the overall operation of the vehicle, they tend to be more costly.

Warning Signs*:

  • Uneven tire wear
  • Excessive vehicle bounce
  • Vehicle leans when cornering
  • Fluid leaks from shocks or struts

* These warning signs are only possible symptoms of the problem. Please come in to Midway Excel Tire & Auto Centres and ask our service technicians for a professional diagnosis.
